Split

Divide one solid body with a world plane, construction plane, or supported planar reference.

Purpose

Divide one solid body with a world plane, construction plane, or supported planar reference.

Select a body in Model and choose Modify > Split.

Chooses the solid body to divide.

Chooses the cutting world, construction, or supported planar reference.

Keeps both resulting solids; when off, only the designated retained side remains.

Apply adds a Split feature and produces one or two resulting bodies according to Keep Both Sides.

Open Split in History to change the cutting plane or retained-side behavior.

The split produces no result.

Choose a plane that crosses the target's solid volume rather than merely touching or missing it.
