Purpose
Create editable outline geometry from installed fonts, either on a straight baseline or along selected sketch curves.
Where to find it
Start or edit a sketch, optionally select a connected baseline, then choose Draw > Text.
Selection
With no prior curve selection, place text by its Draw Anchor.
Select a line, arc, circle, or connected spline chain before opening Text to use it as a path.
Steps
Enter Content and choose Font.
Set Size and straight placement or configure the selected path.
Preview the outlines and tap Apply.
Options
Content
Sets the characters converted into sketch outlines.
Font
Chooses an available installed font; an unavailable saved font is reported rather than silently substituted.
Size
Sets text height in project length units.

Rotation
Rotates straight text or its placement relative to the baseline.

X Position / Y Position
Set signed straight-baseline placement coordinates, including 0. Set X Position to 0 to align the text anchor with the Y axis, Y Position to 0 for the X axis, or both to 0 for the sketch origin.
Available when: Shown without a selected path.

Draw Anchor
Chooses the text bound point pinned during straight placement.
Reverse path
Reverses character travel along the selected curve chain.
Available when: Shown with a selected path.
Along Path
Offsets the start position along the path.
Available when: Shown with a selected path.

Offset from Path
Moves the text normal to the path.
Available when: Shown with a selected path.

Remove
Clears the selected path and returns to straight placement.
Available when: Shown with a selected path.
Result
Apply creates grouped text outline geometry that can contribute closed profiles.
Editing
Select the text entity to reopen its content and placement controls; Explode converts it to ordinary independent geometry.
Troubleshooting
Text cannot form an extrudable profile.
Use a font with closed valid outlines, increase Size, avoid severe path curvature, or Explode and repair the affected contours.
