Modeling tool
Transform Gizmo
Move, rotate, or uniformly scale selected objects directly in the viewport while retaining access to exact Transform inputs.
Purpose
Move, rotate, or uniformly scale selected objects directly in the viewport while retaining access to exact Transform inputs.
Where to find it
In Model, select one or more supported whole objects while no modeling command is active. Enable Settings > Selection > Transform Gizmo if it is hidden.
Selection
- Select one or more solid bodies or supported reference meshes, or select one construction reference. Face and edge selections do not activate the gizmo.
Steps
- Select the object, normally with Object Select or Browser, and wait for the gizmo and floating control bar to appear.
- Choose Move, Rotate, or Scale and drag an axis, ring, or handle; watch the numeric value in the floating bar.
- Open the ellipsis for exact Transform details when needed, then press the checkmark to Apply or X to discard.
Options
Result
Apply commits the previewed placement or size change. Body changes create a Transform feature that can be edited in History.
Editing
Open the resulting Transform in History for exact changes, or select the object again and apply another gizmo transform.
Troubleshooting
The Transform Gizmo does not appear after selection.
Confirm Model is active, no modeling command is open, Transform Gizmo is enabled in Settings, and a whole supported object rather than a face or edge is selected.
The object snaps back after dragging.
The drag is a pending preview. Press the checkmark in the floating gizmo bar to commit it before changing tools or selection.
