MakerSolid Documentation Version 1.5.2

Modeling tool

Transform

Move, rotate, scale, or copy selected bodies, whole sketches, construction references, and supported reference meshes.

Purpose

Move, rotate, scale, or copy selected bodies, whole sketches, construction references, and supported reference meshes.

Where to find it

Select supported objects in Model and choose Modify > Transform.

Selection

  • Select one or more compatible targets. Whole-sketch selection transforms the sketch rather than creating a body feature.

Steps

  1. Select targets and choose whether to Copy.
  2. Enter X, Y, and Z translation, choose Axis and Angle, and set the scale Factor.
  3. Review the transformed preview and tap Apply.

Options

Copy

Keeps the originals and produces transformed copies instead of moving the selected targets.

X / Y / Z

Set signed translation distances in world coordinates.

ƒ Accepts variables and expressions

Axis

Chooses the world, construction, or supported geometric axis used for rotation.

Angle

Sets signed rotation around Axis.

ƒ Accepts variables and expressions

Factor

Uniformly scales all dimensions around the Selection Center; it must be greater than zero.

ƒ Accepts variables and expressions

Pivot

Currently uses Selection Center as the scale pivot.

Result

Bodies create a Transform feature in History; whole sketches and construction references update their persisted placement.

Editing

Open body Transform in History to change values. Directly transformed sketches can be transformed again or edited in Sketch.

Troubleshooting

Apply is disabled or mixed objects do not move together.

Select supported targets of a compatible kind, use a scale factor above zero, and ensure at least one transform value differs from its identity value.
